A Day of Giving

A Day of Giving promotes community involvement by providing individuals with the

opportunity to unite for one day to donate their products, services and time to

facilitate fundraising events that support non-profit organizations. Funds raised

through these communal efforts benefit organizations that empower, educate and

assist women and children. We know that no one person will solve all the worlds’

problems, but by joining together we can create a force that helps those who are

struggling or who have lost hope.

Q: What is the difference between a volunteer, a donor and a sponsor? A: Volunteers give their time or provide services at no cost. Donors donate auction items, raffle prize items, money or purchase event tickets. Sponsors support the charity event in some financial way or by supplying basic necessities of production toward the event such as facilities, fixtures or food. Q: As a volunteer may I buy raffle tickets and/or bid on the auction items? A: Yes, of course! Q: How much time must I commit to volunteer for this event? A: A volunteer may commit to as much time as they would like to the event. A minimum of two hours is preferred for scheduling purposes. We ask that volunteers commit to the time they agreed to be scheduled since the success of this event is dependent upon the coordination and cooperation of all volunteer staff. Since this event is 100% volunteer, reliability is essential! Q: What volunteer opportunities are available to sign up for and how do I contact someone with further questions about volunteering or signing up to be a volunteer? A: We are in need of volunteers to: Staff game booths Supervise children jumping in the jumpy Supervise children on the inflatable slide Supervise games - Duck, Duck Goose/ Musical Dots/ Tug of war/ Hokey Pokey Setup & Breakdown Park maintenance Q: What do you offer volunteers?
